about jen
Jen John, M.Ed, LMHC
I have worked with children, teens, adults and families in various capacities for over a decade. I have a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Seattle Pacific University.
I chose to become a therapist after working as a school counselor and seeing the intense need for comprehensive mental health support in an oppressive system. I left feeling frustrated with the lack of support specifically for our neurodivergent kiddos who were not being served equitably.
Becoming a therapist has allowed me to advocate in more tangible ways and continue the aspects of school counseling I fell in love with (developing relationships with students, talking through emotions, mental health education).
In my free time, you can find me with my dog, reading at a coffee shop or crafting.
